John F. Abate - New Jersey Publisher and Technology Professional

John F. Abate is the owner of Marketforcer, a New Jersey publishing business that provides printed guides on horse race handicapping. Since 1988, John F. Abate has overseen Marketforcer’s mail and online distribution.

He also owns Wintracker established in 1999, which publishes materials and accompanying software related to lottery number selection. Additionally, through Success Publishers LLC, which he has owned since 2003, Mr. Abate offers guides and software concerning casino slots.

Before focusing on publishing, Mr. Abate served as a programmer analyst at Prudential Property & Casualty Insurance, Johnson & Johnson Personal Products, Baker & Taylor, Continental Insurance, and Lenox. At Merrill Lynch, he served as assistant vice president and team leader from 1996 to 2001. There, he supervised two programmers and helped develop mainframe, client-server, and web-based applications.

Mr. Abate earned a master’s degree in business administration from Monmouth University in 1986. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Monmouth in 1980, graduating 10th in a class of 491. His interests outside of his career include guitar, stock option trading, and gardening. He holds a 2016 U.S. design patent for a guitar body and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
